Pop of colour – Makeup Look ✿

For my birthday I got a really cool bright pink eyeliner. I really love this product for summer , and today I wanted to share with you guys how I wear it. If you want to achieve a simple lightweight makeup look , then carry on reading.

After thoroughly cleaning my face , the first thing I do is primer. The primer that is my absolute favourite is Benefit Porefessional. After applying this product in my T-Zone , I move onto concealer. I use Rimmel Wake Me Up , just under my eyes , on any blemishes and on my forehead to highlight slightly. I blend this in with a beauty blender. Then to set my under eyes , I use Benefits Agent Zero Shine. I only use this under my eyes , as I wanted to keep the rest of my face looking dewy and fresh.

Moving onto brows, I did a full post on how I do my brows here. But the product I use is Collection Eyebrow Kit. I love this kit , as it is so easy to use and is really inexpensive.

Then the most exciting part, the eyeliner. I like to conceal over my eyes before using this , to act as a primer and block any colours or veins that might peek through. . They eyeliner I am using is NYX vivid brights – petal. The applicator on this is so precise, which makes it really easy to apply. This is the main part of the look , so spend your timer creating the perfect winged eyeliner look.

I then curl my eyelashes, and apply mascara. The mascara I used was a Ted Baker one. Sadly I don’t know the name of this one , but it gives a really natural coating and lifts the lashes well.

Finally , moisturise your lips, I love EOS lip balms. Then apply a nude lipstick I chose Makeup Revolution – The one. This gives a lovely matte finish and pulls the look together.

I hope you enjoyed this post, have you jumped aboard the bright eyeliner trend? Thankyou for reading ! X

What I got for my Birthday : Beauty! ✿

Almost 2 weeks ago now , it was my birthday, I got lots of amazing presents and today I wanted to share with you the beauty bits that I got.

I’m going to begin with lips. The first thing I got was a Makeup Revolution Lipstick ‘the one’ . I was telling my lovely friend how my mum had stole my previous one of this and how much I loved it and she very kindly bought me a new one!

The next thing I got , was my first ever NYX product. I’ve been wanting to try something from NYX for so long and I got Buttergloss ‘Maple Blondie’. This smells so yummy and looks so pretty on the lips! Another product I got from NYX , was the Vivid Brights eyeliner ‘ Vivid Petal’. I think this looks so cool on , and is so easy to apply. I can definatley see myself wearing this lots over the summer.

I got this amazing pallet from Makeup Revolution, and it is just stunning. This one is called Redemption Palette Esential Shimmers. This is amazing. The colours are so pigmented and just so sparkly this is definitely my new favourite drugstore pallet.

Next is this just beautiful set from Ted Baker. I got this from a lovely friend and I just adore this set.

I don’t know the name of this set , but it comes with 2 little eyeshadow palettes, a mascara , a eyeliner and some tweezers. I love the rose gold running through the set , it makes it look like such a classy product. I’ve tested all the products and they are all amazing. I love the golden eyeshadow set the best , as the colours really suit my skin tone.

I got another stunning set from Benefit. This one is called World Famous Neutrals. This comes with 2 cream eye shadows that come in Indivudal pots , and 4 powder eyeshades. They are all really nice versatile colours , and this set is brilliant for traveling.

And lastly I got something so exciting, my very first Urban Decay product , a naked pallet! I got the Naked 2 , something that I have been wanting for such a long time . I am super happy I got this and can’t wait to get trying some new looks with this!

Thanks so much for reading this post , I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what your favourite eyeshadow brand is!

Best Buys! ✿

Hi guys , hope you’re all well. Today is the first post of a series that i’m going to start : best buys. This could be wether i have managed to get my hands on some bargains or that i’ve brought something and i’m pleased with the purchase and it was a good buy!

So if you know me you will know that i love cards. Whenever i go to any cute little shops i’m always buying cards. I just think they finish off a present perfectly and they’re just really nice to send out at random times to cheer someone up! So when i went into my local clintons i was overjoyed to see this beautiful array or cards , with such a good price tag attached. They have an offer on where you can getter any 3 cards for just £2! I only got a few cards the first time i went , but once i got home i realised i needed more ( oops!). I now have a draw stuffed fall of cards and it makes me so happy – so sad i know!

Now the next thing isn’t so much of a bargain buy , but i saw these sunglasses and i absolutely fell in love. It doesn’t show too well in the picture , but they’re these gorgeous dusky pink and rose gold shades. They pink around the top and rose gold around the bottom .I actually got these from Marks and Spencers for £18 and im so pleased with them!

The next thing i wanted to show you , was an absolute bargain. I went into Boots after my trusty L’oreal heat protect spray. This is my favourite spray and normally retails for about £5.99 but when i went into boots it was just 26p! I thought this was a mistake , but when i went back to stock up on the spray it was still this price and I went back a few days later !

Next up is this MUA single eye shadow in ‘champagne’. Now i can’t rave about this product enough! One gentle swipe of it on the lid brightens your entire eye. It is SO pigmented and so creamy. I also works great as a highlighter! This product is hands down my favourite eyeshadow that i own and it is just £1!

For the summer i was after a hydrating yet light foundation. Of course i went to trusty Benefit , becuase it never disappoints! I found exactly what i was looking for with the oxygen wow foundation. This costs £23.85 , which is pretty pricey but it is an absolute dream. It covers all the blotvhy parts of my face, but lets my freckles peek through which is want you want for the summer. It reminds me more of a BB cream than anything. It is so lightweight you don’t feel like you have anything on and at the end of they day it doesn’t damage your skin it improves it! And another bonus it has SPF in it – can you tell how much i love this foundation?!

And last but definatley not least , nail polish! For the build up to summer , i wanted a summery colour for my nails that wasn’t too out there. When in tesco i always have a look at the reduced make up and that day i saw a Rita Ora nail polish in ‘roll in the grass’ for £1. It looked exacly like the shade i was after and for that price i had to give it a go. It’s a really pretty polish , and has lasted me 3 days with no chips! Definatley recommend!

Thanks very much for reading , i hope you enjoyed this post!

June Favourites ✿

Hi everyone , hope you are all well! Today I wanted to share with you my June favourites! This has been a very stressful month for me ( how sad) but also very good as it’s my birthday month! I hope you all had a great month ,  bring on July!

I’m going to begin with TV. Now a really guilty pleasure of mine is in fact summer heights high. This is such an awful but funny programme that I watched years ago and recently it was put on iplayer. Of course I had to rewatch it and it really did make my month – as bad as that sound so!

Next thing I have been loving are these Saltwater sandals. I got these at the end of last summer , so haven’t been able to get much wear out of them. But they are so comfy and such good quality and I just love them. They’re brilliant for summer as you can go in the sea with them on! Absolutely adore these shoes!

This month I have been craving peaches. I know this is a bit random but I have just been eating punnet after punnet of peaches! This is a favourites post , so I thought why not include them?!

Now the next thing I tested out at the beginning of the month, and I’ve actually found to be really good! They’re are Elastoplast scar plasters. I wanted to try these as in summer you show a bit more skin and I wanted mine to look as nice as possible.

I have a couple of scars and thought why not try them. They’re are quite expensive , which is why I thought I should include them in this post so you know they actually work.

This month Me Before You came out , so I have been reading the book to prepare myself for the film. I can hands down say it’s my favourite film. I love Sam claflin , but also the film was just so beautiful. It had such a heartbreaking end , but it was such a lovely romance.

The next thing is skincare. When I went to pick up my usual Nivea moisturiser , I noticed this was half price and I wanted to give it a try. I have loved this moisturiser. It is quite thin which I much prefer to my usual moisturiser , it has a nice scent and not only moisturises my face but helps to clear up any blemishes. I really really love this prod it and it’s definitely better than my usual one. This one is pure and natural regenerating night cream from Nivea.

And my last favourite of the month , is the Clinique chubby stick in Curviest caramel. This is such a perfect purple toned nude and I find it ties together any makeup look. I love the creamy formula and the brilliant lasting power of this product!

Thanks very much for reading , I hope you enjoyed and had a lovely month!

 A Little Haul ! ✿

I say little in the title , it would have been a blinking huge haul but when I hit the shops I really had to think about what was necessary and practical (boring!). But I still did end up with quite a bit , of which I wanted to share with you ! I’m going to begin with random bits and then move onto clothes!

First shop I went to was Tiger. Who doesn’t love this shop? I only bought a few bits from here , but I needed some little bits and bobs for a party I’m throwing for my mums birthday. I got the cutest cups with sprinkles on for £2. These were a bit of an impulse buy , but I imagined the table I could create and these seemed a necessary part of it! Again with the party in mind I got these napkins which were £1 each. I think they’re so cute and perfectly necessary ( or so I keep telling myself).

Next I went to sainsburys and when I saw my favourite actor on a book I was after reading , I just had to buy it. I got the book Me Before You and I’m obsessed already. I’m a little bit heartbroken my cinema isn’t showing the film of it! Also from sainsburys I got the most adorable Evian drinks. I got the pink and yellow ones but I did already drink the pink one! The one I have left is in the flavour ‘lemon juice and elderflower’!

And the last random item I got were these ice lolly moulds. I got these from Jarrolds for £6. I have been after some of these for ages and the pastel colours on these ones drew me in!

Moving onto clothes…

Just a little side note , I find taking pictures of clothes pretty difficult so just bear that in mind when you see my dodgy picture!

From New Look I got this lovely little top. I love the palm leaves print and just the simplicity of the top! I’m excited to get wearing this when the sun comes out !

The next thing I got was a it random. I was trying in a different shirt but the sizing wasn’t right. The only shirt in my size was this white one so I tried it on so I could order the one I initially wanted when I got home. But when I put it on I much preferred how this white one looked. I had always been a bit apprehensive that it would look like school uniform but I’m so pleased I tried as its one of my new favourites from my wardrobe!

And the final thing I purchased , was from H&M. Now this is not summery at all , but I just loved it and to be honest it’s not really summer in Britain anyway at the moment. It’s still cold and rainy!  But I got this black dress , it’s got a high neck and long sleeves and it’s just a swing dress. This dress is so easy to wear  and this is just a item I love to have in my wardrobe just to throw on.

So I hope you enjoyed this haul , let me know if you e got your summer wardrobe ready! Thanks so much for reading!

Seventeen First Impressions ✿

So last week, the lovely people at Seventeen sent me some makeup items and I have been so excited ever since to write a review. Seventeen arena affordable drugstore brand which are targeted towards teens. I’ve tested the products I thought I would let you know how I’ve got on with them.

I’m going to start with the Seventeen Long Lash Mascara. First off packaging. I am so impressed with seventeen’s packaging. From a far , it just looks plain black packaging , but up close it has these really pretty flecks of colour which catch the light and give a pretty shimmer. I really like the added detail and I was already liking the product just from that.

On to the product, the actual container of the mascara is very simplistic yet quite heavy and it felt good quality. It has a very thin wand , which are my favourite type of wands – well fairy wands are my favourite but we’re talking makeup right now ! This felt very soft on my lashes (is that even a thi girl?) , very gentle. The only slight downside is that I’ve found a lot of mascara gather around the top of the bottle which can get a little bit messy. But for a £6.99 mascara , this is amazing. It does really lengthen lashes and even though it’s not waterproof it hasn’t smudged even on the hottest of days! I will definatley be repurchasing this product!

Now the next thing I got , I was so excited about! It’s Seventeen’s cheek Stamp Blush. The packaging I adore, I love the colours ( of course I do , it’s pink!) and I love the sort of random splodges of pink on the white back round. I think it looks so cool but also quite high end. Then I opened up the box and I was wowed yet again by Seventeen. The packaging of the actual product is very sleek and compact. It also has a good size mirror on the top , which makes it perfect for travel or just to pop in your handbag.

I love the idea of having a sponge applicator for the blush, and I love how everything you need is all in one place. With his product you don’t need anything g else . You don’t need a brush , beciase IT alreayd has one and I just think this is really handy. This blush gives a really prety pink shimmery glow , which is perfect for summer. This product is £4.99 and I can’t find a single fault with it!

I’m very impressed with seventeen’s products , and will definatley be going for a snoop around their counter. I hope you enjoyed this first impression type post , and thanks for reading!

EyeBrow Routine ✿

Hello everybody! A couple of weeks ago I was asked to do a blogpost on how to do eyebrows. Now I have watched many tutorials and speeded up videos of beautiful defined eyebrows , and I can safely say mine aren’t like them. But I have learnt what looks good for a natural brow look , so why not share it with you !

If you didn’t already know , I have ginger hair so I need to use colours that compliment and go with my hair. I’ve found 3 products that I love and use everyday for my brows:

– The collection brow kit in light

– An MUA eyebrows pencil in blonde

– Benefit gimme brow also in blonde
I first use the MUA pencil and underline my entire brow. So I just take the pencil and draw exactly under my natural brow -obviously this bit looks a tad crazy. I then use a spoolie and brish the product upwards. This gives a really natural brow look and is a good base to do the rest of the brow. Make sure you don’t leave a harsh line at the bottom , and that its evenly belneded all the way through.

Then using mainly the lightest shade mixed with a little bit of the middle shade I gently brush through the rest of my brow. I only use the light shade really softly through the beginning of my eyebrow to get the gradient effect.

The last thing I do is set my eyebrows into place with my gimme brow ,this adds a bit of colour but also make sure your brow stays in the desired shape all day!

My 5 tips for brows –

1. Make sure there is No harsh lines

2. Comb through brows throughly before and after. Before to get them in the right shape and after to get rid of any excess product.

3. Don’t over pluck. Follow your natural brow shape just pluck any few strays that don’t follow a general eye brow shape. Leave your brows in their natural shape.

4. Use an eyebrow colour that is best suited to your hair. Don’t go crazy darker than your hair as they will look fake and unnatural.

5. Don’t be scared to experiment, try different products to see what works best for you!
Thanks for reading , I hope his helped some of you with brow dramas ! Let me know what your go to brow product is ! X

May Favourites! ✿

Hello everybody , hope you are all well! It baffles me that I’m writing my May favourites, it seems like the days are just flying by! But I guess we’re a step closer to summer (woohoo).

I’m gong  to begin with books , I’m not a huge book person but once I get into a good book I can’t stop! The book I have been reading non stop this month is ‘all the bright places’. In this book there was times where I was smiling from ear to ear and then crying my eyes out. One thing I will say about this book is that it had a VERY unexpected ending! But do give this a read as I think it’s now one of my all time favourites.

Now the second book is more of a jokey book. One of the reasons I started a blog was to write down ,my thoughts and feelings , but only positive ones. With this book you can write about the more negative aspects of life and what you want to change about the world – perfect for when you’re Prime Minister!

Now moving onto beauty , the bit I’ve been waiting for. This month I have been bronzing up my face like there’s no tomorrow. And to do this of course I’ve been using the benefits Hoola Bronzer. Now I know a lot of people are a little bit scared of this product and it is quite daunting , but today (get ready for this) I saw a mini version in Boots for half the price! When I saw this I had to take some deep breaths becuase it was so cute! So if you’re desperate to try it but a little nervous then why not try the mini?

I have been adding lots of glow to my face this month , with the Revolution baked highlighter. I can’t rave about this product enough! It adds the most gorgeous glow , has such high quality packaging and costs just £3! What more could you want?

I have also been loving the Maybelline colour tattoo in Pink-Gold. I feel like this comes out every spring / summer time, as it’s just my perfect summer colour! I especially love this with a bit of the Hoola run through my crease.

And the last beauty related item , is the witch blemish stick. I was talking to my friend about how she keeps her skin so clear , and she said she swears by this stick. To be totally honest I’d completely forgot about it , but I whipped it out again and it worked miracles!  I dabbed this on a nasty spot before bed and when I woke up the spot was no longer there !

Finally , I have been nibbling away on the most delicious sweeties ,IceBreakers. These are so yummy – especially watermelon!

So I hope you enjoyed this post , thanks for reading !  I would love to hear some book recommendations, as I really want to get back into reading!

Clinique Chubby Stick Haul ✿

Hello everybody , recently I got my first ever Clinique chubby stick. I can now definitely  say they are worth the huge wait. They are so amazing , so moisturising and just brilliant. When my Grandma went on holiday she ever so kindly got me quite a lot of chubby sticks and today I’m going to share with you what exactly I got!

So I got 5 ‘moisturising lip colour balms’ and 1 ‘shadow stick’.

From left to right the colours are:

Curviest Caramel

Chunkiest Chilli

Chunky cherry

Mega melon

Heftiest Hibicus

Bountiful Beige ( shadow stick)

I adore all of these colours , most of which are very neutral everyday colours but I also wanted a bright pop so I got Heftiest Hibicus and it’s safe to say I’m in love. They leave your lips feeling super plump and soft and with a glossy sheen.

I went for a few naturals aswell. I wear curviest caramel most days now and it’s brilliant. It doesn’t crack it gives a gorgeous colour and last ages!

I decided to get the shadow stick , becuase I thought I could also use it as a highlighter. this stick, is so creamy and so sparkly it’s crazy. I adore Clinique and definatley will be trying some more bits from their eyeshadow range as this has amazed me.

Not only is the actual product fantastic , the packaging is also gorgeous . They have used beautiful colours and the design is flowers and leaves. I think the packaging is so classy and makes the product look really expensive.

I am so pleased with my Clinique splurge and have fallen in love with the brand! Let me know if you have anything from Clinuque and which Chubby stick is your favourite! Thanks ever so much for reading !

Jammy Dodger Cupcakes ✿

Hi , hope you’re all well, today I wanted to tell you about some absolutely delicious cupcakes I made! I saw this idea on Pinterest and I didn’t think for one minute they would turn out as good as they did! So without further a do my jammy dodger cupcakes !

Ingredients you will need :

  • 150g of Unsalted butter
  • 150g of caster sugar
  • 175g of self raising flower
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 12 mini jammy dodgers
  • 4 teaspoons of strawberry jam
  • Cream icing

This recipe makes 12 cupcakes !

To begin with , put cake cases in a cupcake tray and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Then cream the butter and sugar together , until smooth and creamy – makes sure there’s no lumps to get a delicious airy cake!

Add the eggs and vanilla and stir through the mixture with a spoon.

Finally add the flour and stir together until all the flour is in the mixture and it’s completely combined.

Bake the cupcakes for 18-20 minutes , and make sure they look a lovely golden colour.

Make sure you leave to cool!

Once cooled you can ice the cupcakes – my favourite part ! I did a swirl on the top of the cake , as we want the icing quite simple.

Boil some water and add just a tiny bit to about 4 teaspoons of jam.Mix the jam and water together until the jam is runny enough  to pour gently over the icing.

And for the final touch add a mini jammy dodger ! And that’s it !

I love these cakes , and have gone onto make party ring versions as well ! So get creative and have sum fun – you might want to hide them  from your family though , becuase mine were gone in 10 seconds haha!

Thanks for reading , hope you enjoyed , let me know what  you think to these cupcakes!
